Delgrosso

So Delgrosso day has arrived!
They boys are so excited and Baby Evan is chilling with Aunt Kathy...what a beautiful day for the park...it's just lovely.
Ben and Jake started the day in the pool with the typical water slides...I just love how parents don't watch their kids
at the pool just pisses me off I don't understand. Here are my boys waiting patiently in line (me too btw...c'mon I love the slide as much as they do and Jake can't go on his own) and here comes the purple mohawk crew skipping line...they did it about five times till I finally said in my kindest teacher voice possible "Can you show me where the end of the line is...you have to go to the end of the line" The kid looked right at me laughed and jumped line.
So he returns in two minutes I'm STILL waiting in line with my whiney Jakey waiting for his turn...he jumps in front and I block him with my whole body...he tries to move me I said buddy you'll have to wait like everyone else...I spend the rest of the day looking for a mommy and daddy with a purple mohawk to come kick my butt! hehehe...
Here's some pics...
Oh and on the tilt a whirl Ben looks at me and says "mom if your gonna throw up keep it in your mouth ok?'

Chuckee is after my baby boy!!!

So this weekend we decided we are going to vacation whether we can afford it or not...gotta love the economy eh?
We ventured to Altoona PA for a wonderful trip to visit family and have an awesome time at Chuckee Cheese and Delgrosso's.
It always amazes me the mental state of a toddler...Jake spent the first three days screaming at Aunt Bren's dogs saying they were going to EAT him! No matter how many times we calmed him and convinced him that dogs do not eat people he was convinced he was the dogs dinner...which of course Shawn made worse by saying "Don't worry baby the doggies only eat little boys on Thursdays" lol
Well anyway...the illigetimate fears continued to Chuckee Cheese. Jacob has been anxiously awaiting his birthday at Chuckee Cheese...we head there on Thursday for lunch and as soon as we enter a very friendly Chuckee Cheese and his friends start to move around and sing on stage...I look around wondering where my happy lovebug is...he's running for the door...screaming "I NO PARTY HEAR"...a Chuckee Cheese lady stops him...me running behind him holding and feeding Evan at the same time...she says does he belong to you...I respond yes...she says he says he won't go to the potty hear...I chuckle...responding he says he does not want to party here...he is terrified...Daddy does a great job helping Jake to somewhat enjoy his Chuckee Cheese day choosing a booth as far away as possible for Chuckee...I guess momma is gonna be planning another party somewhere other than Chuckee Cheese...hehhee!

the finished police car

oh the places you can go in a cardboard box

So today Benjamin the engineer decided he was going to construct a cardboard box police car...this kept him busy the ENTIRE DAY...He's currently upset that we have no "materials" to make wheels that turn and is highly upset that I will not allow him to use my plates as wheels...lol. Pictures will follow when the perfectionist is finished his masterpeice (he screams every time I try to take a picture).
Here is what Evan did while his favorite playmate was busy engineering:

cuddly mornings

This is how the morning began...Ben asking to hold Evan Jake asking for Ben to hold him...oh the responsibility of a big brother...Jake decided it would "be ok" if he sat next to him since Ben said "I'm sorry my lap is full right now"

EVAN SAYS HI IM THREE MONTHS!

The Twigg boys would like to announce that their baby brother is now 3 months old...this kid is amazing! He sleeps 10 hours a night, smiles at everything even mommy's funny faces, doesn't seem to mind Ben in his face all day long and enjoys the pool and everything summer...he's strong too at three months he is already pushing his chest up and sitting up with support from his boppy pillow...We are all impressed!

CONSUME at Camp Harmony

So last week my wonderful hubby was the guest speaker at Consumed...a youth camp that combined three youth groups at Camp Harmony is PA. What an awesome week! They kindly allowed me and my three kids to come along with daddy so it was really exciting for us. Although somewhat stressful being mommy in the heat with no ac and a 5, 2 and 11 week old I was so amazingly blessed by all the youth that were there...they loved on my kids just as much as I did...as if we knew each other forever!
So it occurred to me today that's what I love about youth ministry...for the most part youth are so loving...they want to love something and they will...and they want something or someone to love them back...just like we do!
Youth have a passion for things that you just don't have after you have turned 19+...they have an energy about them...and a curiosity...if only we could have a little bit of that...
Well the boys had a blast and Ben especially loved the pool...I forgot my camera though so I have no pics to share but here are some funny highlights...ya know how the Twigg Family rolls...in all out chaos...
Mommy takes the kids to the store...why? I brought Jakey with only one sandal...only to purchase sandals that hurt Jake's feet 10 feet after putting them on...so back we go to return only to find out that daddy took my check card so I can't afford any other sandals in the store except the ones my child has had his stinky feet in that hurt him...ha!
So God sends the most amazing sight...A PAIR THAT FITS AND is an EVEN EXCHANGE...sorry lady that runs the shoe store I know I peed in your Wheaties but get over it it's just shoes...
Then...Jake is just standing in front of about 10 youth outside the chapel on the concrete and he is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO tired that he's blowing bubbles half asleep when all the sudden he goes...oh no I peed mommy...yup pee all over the concrete where over 100 youth are about to leave and walk over...so what do I do...well of course I dump his bubbles on the pee followed by a bottled water swish it around with my feet and run back to our cabin...:)
Ben decides he wants to go on a water slide...so HANK takes him (this random musclular high schooler) he seems to do just fine with Ben...so mommy volunteers to take him after he's wore Hank out...I get to the top of the steps btw folks how comes skiiers get a lift and water sliders have to walk up 10000 steps...why not install a lift people...lol ...so anyway I'm completely winded and I sit down at the top of the slide on top of my little foam mat (that only covers a quarter of my butt) and whoosh down I go no mat no Ben on my lap...:) FUN FUN...While Hank yells Ms Renee are you ok? Where's Ben? I respond in my drowning voice "I HAVE NO CLUE!"
Mother of the year folks...:)
Then Ben falls out of his bed...approximently 12 inches to the ground and about breaks his finger...the nail is falling off people...
I start to walk to the dining area only to have my flip flop break while pushing a double stroller across gravel with three kids...
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh
I say all this to say we still had an AMAZING time at youth camp and with almost 30 people giving their heart to the Lord I consider it a successful trip...
If any of you folks that organize this camp read this please no...
WE WERE SO THANKFUL that you invited us...and I am so blessed to be a part of such an amazing camp even for just this one year...you guys are devoted and obviously LOVE GOD and your YOUTH with everything!
Thanks for sharing!

Monkeying around

Benjamin and Jake spent most of the day in their room today and Evan had to join:

Jakey decided that Evan needed a napping partner...he laid down with him for a pretend nap and actually fell asleep:
Nana got Jake a monkey costume at a flea market...he will not take it off!!

Jake at his finest

So Jake is walking around Camp Good Grief after going down the water slide...with his pants stuck way down showing at least an inch of his crack (so embarassing)

We are all sitting on the couch with our feet propped up on the ottoman...here comes Jake full speed ahead he dives head first toward the couch but misses by about a half inch and goes face first in the whole...he just gets up and laughs.

Jake continues to feed our fish (that has been flushed for two weeks...there is no water in the tank people...he just keeps feeding "the fish"

Jacob reaches for a toy in the tub...with clothes on...and falls in head first.

Jacob busy watching the girls at the pool falls off the steps because he sat down where there were no steps.

Oh this kid...he is so clumsy and funny...I think God placed him in my life to keep the JOY!

Benisms

Ben says to Jake about the fireworks "Don't be scared they are like...um...like flowers that bloom in the sky"

Ben says during daddy's prayer for food "yes Jesus, yes Jesus"
(Shawn replies after the prayer I think he caught the holy spirit while I blessed the food)

Ben responds at Camp good grief to the question does anyone know what a baby falcon is called it starts with an F...Ben raises his hand..."a f bird" :)

Ben leans forward during a very important quiet time at Camp Good Grief and accidently passes gas...loudly...to which he just looks around with a quiet grin.

Ben takes the little pooh potty and put a bag in it...he says maybe Jake will poop in the potty if he can poop in the bag then mommy can clean it up easier...Jake PEES in the plastic bag and brings it out to the living room while company is here...FABULOUS!

Ben says Daddy why are you bigger than mommy if you are younger than mommy...mommy says usually daddy's are bigger...he says yup cause they eat a lot more!

4th of July

As much as I want to enjoy today all I can think of is the men who have lost their lives for my freedom. What's the best way to thank them...by living my life freely...teaching my kids about the sacrifice of those men and bringing them back to the roots this country was founded on...God BLESS AMERICA:
We started the day with a driving range...Ben is getting so good...Jake....well he spent most of the time whining cause he couldn't hit the ball like brother....lol
